Additional Produce
1923 Apr. 12 – FOXHAMS BLACK THORN Colt Black or grey, white star (Sire Rene of Arlington 1019) Bred by Mrs J. Oscar Muntz
1924 May 4 – Foxhams Snowdrop Filly Grey, slight star (Sire, Rex of Arlington 493) Bred by Mrs J. Oscar Muntz

It seems possible that H. Whitley owned Rene of Arlington (1019), sire of FOXHAMS BLACK THORN foaled in 1923. By 1923 Primley Isis was the property of Mrs J. O. Muntz and was probably in foal with FOXHAMS BLACK THORN who may have reminded unless sold until 1926.

Notes:
Primley Isis, foaled about 1916, could have been bred by Miss Chichester or as is more likely, she was bred by H Whitley, Primley, Paignton, Devon, as her sire was Primley Cadet (780) who was owned by H Whitley.

Blackthorn (or sloe) is common in hedges and scrub throughout Britain. It is a deciduous shrub up to 15ft high with plenty of thorns. The fruit is blueish-black and about half an inch long. Home made sloe gin was very popular at one time.
