TABARIN (Belgian Thoroughbred Stud Book Volume 4 page 238), (GSB Vol.26 p.1255) bay, star, near hind coronet white inside. Foaled in Belgium in 1922, winner of races in Belgium and imported in 1927. Bred by Madame P. de Prelle de la Nieppe. Owned by Sir Ian Walker, Baronet, of Osmaston Manor, Derby and entered in the National Pony Society Stud Book, as Polo and Riding Pony Stallion, 1682. Tabarin was included in the, List of Polo Pony Stallions, “Available for Service” published in Volume 21 of the The National Pony Society, (1931-1933).

His dam, Tamise, was entered in the Society’s, “Approved Mare Register, page 245”, she was bay, and 15.0 1/2 hands high.
Tabarin was 15 hands, and won, in 1927, third Prize at the National Pony Society’s London Spring Show, and in 1929, second and Reserve Gold Medal. He was twice, “Champion at Olympia”
