It looks as though Astarte was at Foxhams until 1940 at least, perhaps longer, and was then sold to Lady Jones, (James).
From 1940 until 1945 it is difficult to know how Astarte passed the war years, but survive she did and in 1945 gave birth to a foal called Aristocrat.
From 1945 to 1952 she may have been ridden in “shows,” or alternatively she may have had a couple more foals.
However we know she then became the property of The Marchioness of Willingdon, (Lady Jones/James ?) and in 1952 had a foal Royal Flush, Royal Sceptre in 1953 and Kilbees New Love in 1957.
We know she was destroyed in 1958 at the age of 22 years still the property of The Marchioness of Willingdon.
