BLUE BIRDIE GSB (Vol. 26 p.1127) was a dapple grey filly, with a white spot behind her withers, she was foaled in 1928 and bred by Lord Lonsdale, KG.

In 1931 Blue Birdie was sold to W. Balding for forty guineas as an unnamed three year old and was later the property of the Misses Calmady-Hamlyn and N. Dawson, of Pearroc Vean, Buckfast, South Devon.

Mrs Joseph Oscar Muntz owned Blue Birdie in 1935, and entered her in the Approved Mare Register of The National Pony Society, (her height was fourteen hands two and a half inches high, when measured on 26th April 1935) and she started breeding from her in 1936.
Blue Birdie was transferred to The National Pony Society Stud Book (Volume 23 1937/1938 and 1939) on 2nd February 1939, as mare Number 7468, the same day as her stable companion Roman Scandal.


Both Blue Birdie’s foals born at Foxhams were by the Foxhams stallion Love Song

1940 – barren and sold to Mr Northey
