DORA II was a chestnut mare, with a blaze, under lip white, and both hind socks white nearly up to her hock. She was foaled in 1909.

Dora II played by the late Captain G.V.S. Bowlby, (Royal Horse Guards) in principal tournaments in 1914 and played by Lieutenant Commander H.S. Bowlby, R.N. in London and Sherborne, since the war.

Dora II probably arrived at Foxhams with Birdcatcher II in 1924, as Mrs Joseph Oscar Muntz is noted as the breeder of her 1925 chestnut filly.

On 20th August, 1925 she was inspected and measured by Captain J. D. Gouldsmith for entry into the Approved Mare Register. Her height was fouteen hands one and a half inches and she appears on page 168.
