PRIMLEY ISIS (Mare No. 3953, foaled about 1916, could have been bred by Miss Chichester), or as is more likely, she was bred by H Whitley, Primley, Paignton, Devon.
Her sire was Primley Cadet (780).
It seems possible that H. Whitley owned Rene of Arlington (1019), sire of Foxhams Black Thorn.
However by 1923 Primley Isis was the property of Mrs J. O. Muntz

Notes:
Isis, from the dictionary of phrase and fable (the words worth)
The principle goddess of ancient Egypt, sister and wife Osiris and mother of Horus. She typified the faithful wife and devoted mother… A splendid temple was built at Philae… she was worshipped as a nature goddess… and was identified with Juno, Io, Aphrodite, Astarte and others.”
