G.dam – Wild Girl, (registered at Hurlingham in 1898, No.950) brought from South Africa, bred in Queensland out of a well-bred mare by an imported thoroughbred horse.

London Pride was foaled in 1917, the year before Love Song, both had the same sire, “ Arthur’s Pride.“
London Pride would have been trained for polo, but at the same time he was considered as a, “Foxhams Stallion.” In 1920 he covered a Dartmoor Pony called, Sugar Plum and in 1921, a chestnut filly called, “Barley Sugar,” was foaled.
Later in Volume 16 and 17, (published in 1922), London Pride, was listed under, “Polo and Riding Pony Geldings,” and later still in 1924, he was to be found at Ranelagh Club Show, for sale as a Polo-bred pony, with a Reserve Price not exceeding, One hundred and twenty guineas.
