Silver Leaf II was from The Higher Tor Stud, founded in 1920 by Sydney Horrell, whose foundation mares were Virtuous Lady, said to be bay and foaled in 1919, and Polly V.
Silver Leaf II, her foal of 1926, was branded, “H” near off saddle and it is to be assumed ran on the moor as she had two filly foals in 1930 and 1931 both by Dartmoor ponies, and both said to be bred by Mrs. J. Oscar Muntz.
Silver Leaf II was probably bought by Mrs Muntz, in 1929, still owned by her in 1931 and beyond.
