It seems that Amber ran on the moor as her filly foal of 1916 was bred on the moor. (although there is no note of a brand).
Perhaps Mrs Muntz purchased Amber and her foal in 1916, because it was illegal to sell foals aged less than four months without their dams.
(Most foals, in a managed population are removed from their dams, in autumn, when aged about four months.)
I have no further information on Amber or her foal.
