It seems possible that Slip-Away was sold to Major S. A. Medcalf. T. D. (later Lt.-Col. Sydney A. Medcalf, T.D.) of Aylands, Waltham Cross Herts. In The Arab-bred Register of 1929 the following entries appear :-

It would seem that Slip-Away, foaled in 1908, bought by Miss Imogen Collier in 1914, trained and sold for polo some time later, came into the possession of Major Medcalf.
She probably played polo for some years before producing Ayland’s Pet in 1921 at the age of thirteen, and Black Prince, at fifteen, in 1923.
It is to be hoped she lived out her life at Waltham Cross as it is clear she survived 1914-18, perhaps she did go off to war but came back with Major Medcalf.
