ASTEROIDEL N.P.S.B., G.S.B., and the Arab-bred Resister
From an article in Country Life, 31st August 1935, by Lieutenant Colonel S.G. Goldschmidt
……..
“Asteroidel Bred at Foxhams, is in the N.P.S.B. And the G.S.B. And the A.S. Register, and is therefore, polo bred, thoroughbred and Arab bred – a unique pedigree and with a great prize-winning record.

Asteroidel was foaled in 1925 and soon became a well loved mare. She was introduced to the, “show ring,” in 1928 as a three year old and later trained and, as can be seen from her success in a Riding Class in 1929 was clearly a mare of quality.
(In the Arab-bred classes there was considerable competition between Asteroidel and a mare named Dunducket.)
In August 1930 she was Measured and Registered with the National Pony Society being given the Number 6184 and in 1932 she was covered by Tabarin. (It is possible that sometime between 1929 and 1932 she played polo.)
Over the next five years Asteroidel produced four living foals. In 1938 she was sold to Mr. Burton and in 1939 won a First Prize at the South Devon Pony Show.
