sire: Sammy the Verger GSB liver chestnut Foaled 1906 Height 14.2 Registered in the Polo and Riding Pony Stud Book as stallion 503 and the property of James E. Baillie, Dochfour, Inverness (won prizes at the 1912 London Show of the Polo and Riding Pony Society,)

Entente Cordiale was foaled under the management of the Lonsdale Trustees.
Hurlingham certificate 10378 seems to have been awarded in 1912, so Entente Cordiale came late to polo, after a racing career.
