There was a fire at Foxhams at some time in 1922, where possibly up to five horses died, (one was certainly Wine Measure.) It is possible that Arthur’s Belle 1922 filly (Belle Cerise) was another casualty, as no other record of her seems to exist.
(Arthur’s Belle arrival at Foxhams was through a series of sales between 8th August 1921 and the Spring of 1922)
