2069 FORKED LIGHTNING dark brown, white star, black legs Foaled 1906 Breeder Mrs R.C. Bainbridge, Elfordleigh , Plympton, South Devon. Height 14.2 Measured October 15th, 1910 and entered in Volume 11 of the Polo and Riding Pony Society 1909-1910, in the Polo and Riding Pony Mares and their Produce section (but no produce is exhibited).

Sire : Cruikshanks GSB, Hunter (87) bay Height 15 1 3/4h.h (interestingly when he was measured as a Polo Pony Stallion on 30 September 1911 he was only 15.00 h.h. and given the number 584, (in Volume12 Polo and Riding Pony Society Stud book 1911-1912.)
We do know that Cruikshanks broke his leg as a colt. J. Oscar Muntz says so in 1912 in his report on the London Show.

Miss Imogen Collier sold Forked Lightning between 1912 and 1920
It is possible that she played polo between 1912 and 1920 although she does not seem to have a published Hurlingham Number.
