This was a particularly encouraging start as the pony Rockabye had the distinction of being mentioned in Colonel E.D. Miller’s book Modern Polo, Forth Edition, page 422, as having been ridden by Colonel Lockett in both the 1921 International Matches)

He had the further distinction of being sold at Tattersall’s for 666 Guineas after winning
many prizes.
