Although the Stud Book specifies Punchinello 302 (who is Punchinello late Polo King) was this indeed the legendary Welsh Mountain Punchinello, who used to run in the Tavistock area but was later sent to, “Bodmin Moor” where he ran for years siring many fine ponies. He died there, but his progeny were reputed to be seen, as late as 1926
Punchenella was bred near Bodmin.
