Miss Collier purchased Snowdrop, who may only have been, ‘halter trained for the shows.’ from Joseph Oscar Muntz in 1906, and she must have been at Foxhams until at least 1909.
Captain Muntz owned The Mikado, who arrived in 1905.
In 1907 The Mikado covered Snowdrop, in 1908 Catkin was foaled, whom he later repurchased.
(Possibly after Miss Collier had trained him for polo)
Captain Muntz was a very good polo player, he and Miss Collier did not marry until 1915.

CATKIN
Colt
Colour: Bay, white star
Breed: Unknown
Type: Darmoor x Polo and riding pony cross
Foaled: 1908
Height: Unknown

CATKIN Bay colt, white star Foaled 1908. Vol. 10 (1907-1908) Polo and Riding Pony Society
Sire: The Mikado Fell 200 ( In 1908, now owned by J. Oscar Muntz)
Dam: 1815 Snowdrop Dartmoor Pony

It is possible that Catkin was a, “first cross” with the hope of a good “polo or riding pony.”
Since Catkin was owned by Captain J. Oscar Muntz it is probable that he was requisitioned for the war effort.
