Volume 31 of The General Stud Book page 570 states LOVE OF MINE (Bay), foaled in 1934, by Love Song, by Arthur’s Pride (Capt. B.B.N. Wordd’s), had in 1944 c. (died), in 45 b. c. Love Shaft by imp. Trappeur II, met with an accident and was destroyed in February 1946.

Love of Mine was sold, possibly in 1938, to Captain B.B.N. Wordd
What she was doing between 1938 and 1942 is uncertain.
However in 1943 she was covered by Trappeur II and her produce were as follows :-
1944 colt (died)
1945 bay gelding Love Shaft (late Shafto) by Trappeur II (Vol.30 p.421)
This is very interesting. Why change his name from Shafto to “Love Shaft” (Mrs Muntz’s first big winner for Love Song,) unless he was rather a good pony.
Love of Mine died in an accident in 1946
