There is a complication in the pedigree of Pocket Venus, foaled in 1910
Her dam 2513 Lady Bird III (said to have been foaled in 1893), could not have been sired by Blue Ruin foaled in 1897.
There are two Blue Ruin’s
BLUE-RUIN (Blue Ruin) GSB Volume 19 p.157
Volume 19 of the GSB page 157 states Downright (Bay) foaled in 1888 by Sterling out of Diddington by The Duke continued from Volume 18 page 154 1897 b. c. BLUE RUIN by Blue-green 1898 – 1901 Other All bred by Mr T Heath
And
MOHAWK (later BLUE RUIN) GSB Volume 13 p.36 and Volume 14 p. 389
Foaled in 1874
However there are more LADY BIRD’S or LADYBIRD’s
582 LADYBIRD, dark brown FOALED 1893 (Vol. 3 Polo Pony Stud Book 1895-96)
801 Ladybird, light brown Foaled 1895 (Vol.5 Polo Pony Society Stud Book1898 -99)
967 Lady Bird, bay Foaled 1890 (Vol. 6 Polo Pony Society Stud Book
1596 Ladybird, bay Foaled 1901
2513 LADY BIRD III, bay Foaled 1893 (Vol. 13 of The National Pony Society)
3077 Lady Bird II, sire White Wings Foaled 1912 (Volume 14 of The National Pony Society)
(Lady Bird III was originally bred by F. Ralph, Wood Farm, Ivybridge, Devon and first registered by J. Goldsworthy as number 2513 in Volume 13 1913/14)
The entry made by Miss Imogen Collier when registering Pocket Venus, was, “Breeder J. R. Goldsworthy Tremough Barton, Penrhyn, Cornwall” and she notes the GSB Volume 19 p.157 for Blue Ruin

I feel that possibly there was an error in the foaling date of LADY BIRD III
