The Council of The Polo and Riding Society decided in June 1907 to conduct a survey, “to consider the desirability of establishing a Record of the Performances of Polo-Bred Ponies in the Game.” A list of forty playing ponies was duly complied, Midsummer Night (940 Dream’s 1901 foal), was included in this list. All forty ponies, played on the grounds of recognised Polo Clubs, including …. North Devon, and Plymouth ….. (Plymouth and North Devon were the two Grounds noted for Midsummer Night.)
